About Drew Jacob

Honestly Drew, This isn’t something we should be telling you. If you write for someone besides yourself, and try to force a project that isn’t something you really want to do, it will drain you, make you hate the project, and cause feelings of resentment towards the intended audience. It also won’t be your best work. You have to figure out for yourself what you want to do.

I am, of course, not offering to write about topics that don’t interest me. I thought that went without saying!
I’ve edited my post to be more clear.

The posts in which you touch on ritual magic, at least in my reading, carry a magic of their own. I suspect a book on ritual magic would reflect that same magical undercurrent. Since you’re asking for votes, I suppose based on that I’ll need to put mine toward ritual magic. But ultimately, wherever you’re lead I’m sure your next project will be the path you need to travel.

Thanks Elise. Magic is a big topic… anything in particular you’d want to see on it?

I’d like to see an accessible work on Celtic polytheism.

Any particular aspect of magic? It’s a big topic.

True. I’m fond of always starting with just a basic 101 book of what you do, but if there is a particular part that you are really good at that doesn’t get much attention, I’d say go with that.
Now if you want a real challenge, write either one, but as a fictional novel. See if you can manage to get a really great story that doesn’t feel bogged down by instructions. ;)

Fate! Though each of these sounds fun.

My vote is, of course, for Celtic polytheism.

I’m a firm believer that in fiction you can put anything, and everything you mentioned. But I would like to see more about the voodoo you know…

Anything to which spirit moves you, as long as you write this, too. Please.

Thanks for the opinions and advice so far, everyone. I’m still open to more opinions so if you haven’t commented yet, lay it on me.

I’d love to see your thoughts regarding the diversity of theological opinions in classical paganism and what a non-literal and/or naturalistic theology can look like for contemporary polytheists.

That’s very interesting. Might be more of an essay or a white paper than a long book… and it would take some research time to complete the historical portion. But I’ll keep this in mind. Obviously it’s a topic I care about :)
